About Me

Hello! My name is Marissa Lucia, and I recently earned my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Sacred Heart University. I chose this profession because it combines my passion for creativity with my desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Occupational therapy's holistic approach, which emphasizes understanding the whole person rather than just their diagnosis, aligns closely with my core values of empathy, adaptability, and lifelong learning.

After having the opportunity to learn from and work alongside occupational therapists across a variety of settings including schools, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics, I witnessed the meaningful impact they have on their clients' lives. Through my graduate education and fieldwork experiences, I have continued to strengthen my clinical skills and deepen my passion for helping individuals achieve greater independence and participation in the activities that matter most to them.
